Seville was platted in 1828. It was titled after Seville, in Spain. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the village has a total region of 2.60 square miles (6.73 km2), all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 2,296 citizens , 917 homeholds, and 634 families residing in the village.

There were 978 housing units at an average density of 376.2 per square mile (145.3/km2).

The ethnic makeup of the village was 96.9% White, 0.7% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.4% from other competitions, and 1.3% from two or more competitions.
