Grandview Heights became a separate village in 1906, and a town/city in 1931.
Grandview Heights is often remarked upon as being a small insulated town/city very close to downtown Columbus and has one of the smallest school districts in the greater urban region in terms of student population. Grandview Heights is positioned at 39 58 50 N 83 2 28 W (39.980564, -83.041027). According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 1.33 square miles (3.44 km2), all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 6,536 citizens , 2,927 homeholds, and 1,680 families residing in the city.
