Englewood is a town/city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States and a northern suburb of Dayton.

Although Englewood was not actually established until 1841, many early pioneer began to come to the region known as Randolph Township around 1800.

Following primarily the path traced through this region by the Stillwater River, a group of pioneer founded what is now the City of Englewood on May 6, 1841.

The name Englewood was chosen as the winner of that contest and the town of Jamton was retitled Englewood.

The populace had risen to 415 by 1930 and over 600 by 1940. Englewood became a town/city in 1971.

The coordinates for the town/city are 39 51 48 N 84 18 15 W. It is situated along the Stillwater River, bordering the metros/cities of Clayton, Union, and Butler Township.
